Members, students-at-law and law firms on one register.

A law society regulates in the public interest under its own Act and Rules, and the work spans more than the individual member. Admission follows the bar admission program and articles of clerkship, status moves between practising and non-practising, professional liability insurance and CPD have to be reported and certified each year, and law firms register separately with a designated representative, trust account approval and an annual report. Alinity holds the member record, the student-at-law record and the firm record together, so a change of status, a firm move or a complaint stays consistent across all three and reportable to the Benchers or Council.

From admission to the bar through to discipline.

Admission & call to the bar Applications, the bar admission program, articles of clerkship and student-at-law records through to the call and admission ceremony, including transfers under the national mobility agreements, with admission fees invoiced and receipted along the way.
Trust accounting & firm regulation Law firm registration, designated representatives, trust account approval, annual firm reports and compliance audits, each tracked against its filing deadline.
Complaints & discipline Online complaint intake through investigation, conduct hearings and published outcomes, with custom roles, events, processes and reporting.
Find a lawyer directory A live public directory showing standing, status, firm and any restrictions or discipline history, published exactly as your Rules require.
Membership & change of status Practising, non-practising, retired, suspended and reinstated status held as one continuous membership history, with categories, conditions, restrictions, and annual fees and levies invoiced on the member record.
Mandatory CPD Annual CPD reporting and certification by cycle and category, including professional responsibility and ethics hours, mandatory courses, exemptions and non-compliance follow-up.
